Without spoiling anything, two topics Persona 2 Innocent Sin covers are homosexuality and body positivity. Persona 2 Innocent Sin has already shown me it's a hell of a lot more progressive than those games, and it came out in 2000 originally. The games have been homophobic, transphobic, fatphobic, and plenty more. It's also pretty high in Persona 2 as well.įirst off, one of the most common frustrations about Persona 3/4/5, is just how regressive the games they are. The encounter rate in Persona 1 in particular is ABSURD, to the point where I understand why it ruins the game for many people.
I understand that Persona 1 and the 2 duology have their flaws. I'm just annoyed with the fact that these games often completely eclipse Persona 1 and the 2 duology in most people's eyes, including Atlus'.Ģ. I do NOT hate P3/P4/P5, and in fact love those games.

I'm nearing the end of Innocent Sin, and I'll be making an LttP thread for that as I am close to the end, but before that I want to talk for a minute about how more people need to give these games a chance. I started Persona 2 Innocent Sin afterward. Every time I brought this up, people would often say "Oh beware, these games are tedious as all hell.", "They aren't even good games!", "Persona started with 3 for a reason.", and "The encounter rate tho."Īfter finishing P4G, I played Persona 1 and did an LttP thread on it a little over a month ago. I played through all of Persona 4 Golden over the summer, as well as having played Persona 5 and Persona 3 before, but always wanted to check out Persona 1 and the 2 duology.
